I've been working as a finance journalist for 14 years since graduating with an MA in Modern History from the University of St Andrews.
I worked in-house for eight years at a number of national publications including six years at MoneyWeek and two years as the deputy editor of Moneywise magazine.
Since 2013 I've worked as a freelance financial journalist writing regularly for The Sunday Times, The Times, Moneywise, MoneyWeek, LoveMoney and many more publications.
I also regularly discuss personal finance stories on national radio stations including BBC Radio Two and Share Radio.
In 2016 I was named runner up Financial Freelance Journalist of the Year at the Santander Media Awards.
